As part of the first National Peace Week (SENAP), organized by the Association of Courageous Women in Action for Peace and Security (FECAPAS) in partnership with the Ministry in charge of Gender Promotion, Women's Protection and Family, FAFECA participated in a university seminar at the University of Bangui. Focused on the theme "Building Peace with Youth," this meeting provided an opportunity for direct dialogue with students and young people about their central role in consolidating peace in the Central African Republic.
Rich exchanges with young people
The seminar brought together several dozen students, teachers, and institutional stakeholders. Discussions focused on key issues for the country's future:
- What does it mean to be a good citizen?
- How can we build peace on a daily basis?
- What collective consciousness can be developed to serve the common good?
- How important is peace in the electoral process?
These questions have sparked fascinating debates, revealing the interest and willingness of young people to actively participate in building a peaceful and forward-looking society.
Youth, agents of change
Through this exchange, a powerful message emerged: Central African youth are at the heart of change. Being a good citizen means not only respecting the values of peace and solidarity, but also committing to... credible, peaceful elections that hold promise for the future.
FAFECA, as a federation of women entrepreneurs, shares this conviction. Like women, young people represent an essential force for meeting the challenges of democracy, social cohesion, and sustainable development.
