The Federation of Associations of Women Entrepreneurs of the Central African Republic (FAFECA) participated in the Round Table on the National Development Plan (NDP), a strategic event to shape the economic and social future of the Central African Republic. This participation marks a decisive step: placing women entrepreneurs at the heart of national priorities. FAFECA reaffirmed its commitment to actively contributing to two major pillars of the NDP: human capital development and the acceleration of production.
A clear commitment to human capital
Through the’PND axis 2 – Human capital development, FAFECA emphasizes the importance of empowering women and promoting their economic independence. Since its inception, the federation has trained over 2,000 women entrepreneurs in leadership, digital technology, agriculture, and commerce. This commitment is part of a broader vision: to build a society where every woman, whether she lives in an urban or rural area, has the skills necessary to start a business and contribute to national growth.
Accelerating production through women's entrepreneurship
L'’PND axis 4 – Accelerating production finds a particular resonance in the actions of FAFECA. The federation supports the development of promising value chains such as agriculture, crafts, and trade, key sectors for the Central African economy. With more than 3,200 members spread across the 20 prefectures, FAFECA acts as a catalyst to transform local initiatives into viable and competitive businesses. By promoting "Made in CAR" products and advocating for better market access, it contributes to boosting the national economy.
Women's Leadership: A Driver of Transformation
FAFECA does not simply support women in their entrepreneurial journey: it promotes a genuine female leadership. This leadership is now recognized by national and international partners as a force for social and economic transformation. Through events such as the National Women's Entrepreneurship Fair (SANEF), The federation demonstrates that women entrepreneurs are not only beneficiaries, but also active participants in development and sustainable peace in the Central African Republic.
Impact and perspectives
By participating in the Round Table on the National Development Plan, FAFECA reaffirmed its role as credible and mobilizing federation. The impact is already being felt: thousands of women trained, businesses formalized, local products promoted, and a strong voice heard in national institutions. The future looks promising: strengthening partnerships, expanding the reach of training programs, and establishing women's entrepreneurship as a central pillar of sustainable development.
FAFECA's participation in the PND Round Table illustrates a deep conviction: the future of the Central African Republic will be built with the help of women.
