On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Federation of Associations of Women Entrepreneurs of the Central African Republic (FAFECA) organized a unique training session on digital security at its headquarters in Bangui. Led by the federation's Digital and Startup sector and facilitated by Mr. Trésor Dilla, a Central African expert from the diaspora residing in Burkina Faso, this initiative marks a crucial step in FAFECA's strategy: to equip women entrepreneurs to navigate a rapidly changing digital world.
Training adapted to current challenges
The session, which brought together several female entrepreneurs and members of the federation, was structured around three major themes:
- the protection of personal data,
- securing your online presence,
- preventive measures against cyber threats and digital scams.
Through practical demonstrations and interactive discussions, Mr. Trésor Dilla helped participants acquire essential skills to protect their online activities. In a context where digital scams and data breaches represent growing threats, this training addresses a real and urgent need.
A lever for digital empowerment and inclusion
For FAFECA, the issue goes beyond simply raising awareness. The goal is to create a safe and competitive female entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Indeed, a well-trained entrepreneur who is aware of digital risks protects not only her own business but also that of her community. As the president of FAFECA reminded us, "women's economic empowerment also depends on mastering and securing digital tools.". This first training session is part of a series of specialized workshops that the federation will gradually roll out.
Immediate impact and outlook
At the end of the training, participants left with practical tools and a better understanding of digital issues. Several female entrepreneurs present attested to the relevance of this initiative, emphasizing that they now felt empowered. more confident.
For FAFECA, this is just the beginning: the ambition is to train, by the end of 2026, over 1,000 women entrepreneurs with digital skills, with an emphasis on cybersecurity, innovation and the digitalization of activities.
With this first cybersecurity training program, FAFECA demonstrates its leading role in supporting women entrepreneurs facing the challenges of the digital age. By combining local expertise with an international vision, the federation reaffirms its commitment to building a Central African Republic where women play their full part in a safe, inclusive, and competitive digital environment.
